Alas
Got a call from my tenant in my father's house in Massachusetts today. Apparently the plumber thinks the well has collapsed. God only knows what this is going to cost. Land rich, coin poor, that's me. Pfui.
Life, writing, children, pedestrians, books, and the passive resistance of inanimate objects.

Bless you.
Shall we return to childhood? The powerlessness is balanced by the lack of responsibility.
P.S. Laura Kinsale won a RITA.
A return to property-lessness sounds pretty nice right about now.
SG points out that childhood does not guarantee a problem-free life, and in this she is right. But I didn't own the Barn when I was a wee tiny thing, and that's pretty damned appealing right now.
P.S. Brava for Kinsale!! How excellent.
