Today Sarcasm Girl is fifteen! How did this happen? She's taller than I am (by a hair) and slender and gorgeous and bright, and funny. And sarcastic, of course. I think I may need to go lie down...

I knew I shouldn't have kept feeding her. Damn.
I told Adam if he grew any more I was grounding him. So now he's 6'2". I recommend a different strategy.
I did threaten to strap a cement block to the kid's head, on the theory that weight might help. The trouble is, she keeps getting smarter and more interesting as well as bigger. I'm outclassed at every turn, and soon I won't even have mass on my side!
Last night Emily and I rummaged through the family photos for a baby picture to print in her sixth grade yearbook, and we found (among other things) a several-years-old Christmas card from Casa Caccavo, back when it was in Manhattan. Emily could not believe that she was looking at Julie and Bec, who could have been labelled Young and Younger. Kind of like studying the eons-old light from a distant star.
