Query
Can someone explain to me why four day school weeks are frequently longer and more harrowing than the usual five day week? Just wondering.
Life, writing, children, pedestrians, books, and the passive resistance of inanimate objects.

It's like a tesserect. Weird temporal physics things happen with a four day school week.
It's not Euclidian, though. A three day school week just pretty much insures nothing gets done at all.
A three day school week also insures high blood pressure and a sense of dread.
