In the Nick of Time

It isn't just that it's raining again, today. It's doing that quintessentially San Franciscan thing; regular rain, patch of blue sky, deluge, fog, patch of blue sky, hail, rain, deluge, patch of blue sky, rain, rain, rain, fog, deluge, hail, deluge, rain... All in the course of four hours.

I am so happy we had the roof fixed. So happy.

You're safe and dry? Everything holding up properly? {sound of distant cheering}

Cheers here, too. We keep checking the drop bucket under the roof to make sure, but so far it's dry and so are we.

Had to take Larger Child to the School of the Arts this morning for an audition (she just missed being accepted last year, and really really really wants to go there) at which point it was foggy and sputtering. Things cleared up enough for us to take the Christmas Tree to the dump. After: rain, clear, rain, clear. It was raining when I went to retrieve Older Child from SOTA (she had stayed to do some go-fer work with the theatre company she was a part of last year) and took her off to get her eyes examined and have new glasses fitted. It was while we were at Site for Sore Eyes that the hail and the fllood-like waters started. Very impressive. This is the weirdest bunch of climates I've ever dealt with.
